A Bit of a Change...!

You may notice, I've started to replace the small image and watermark with a coloured image as I don't think the watermark was working - too easy to clean off and I think you get a better idea of the image when it's coloured - a bit like the rubber stamps with the image on the wooden handle!
Hope you like this way of displaying my images.

Let me know what you think

Instructions for watermarks

It's in a .png format. Take care not to re-save it as a jpg (very easily done!)as it will no longer be transparent.

Save it to a convenient location, like your desktop or a file in your 'photos' folder.

Take your photo and save it.

Open it in your graphics program..

Open watermark.

Click 'copy' on watermark and MINIMIZE or CLOSE watermark.

Click on photo and 'paste' . You watermark will appear in the centre of your photo (and possibly the wrong size too as I make them big for a good clean resolution when reduced).

Use your 'move' tool to move it to where you want. On my program the same tool can alter size too.

Once happy with the watermark's size/position, 'save' photo with a title and in a place you will find it again.

New digi images

I see from my Feejit that someone from Scotsdale Arizona has been searching for Golf related digis more than once.

Please do remember that if I don't have a digi that you are looking for, I'm very happy to draw one especially for you at only a little extra cost - £4.00.

This digi still remains my copyright so I will include it in my catalogue unless  the client wishes to buy the copyright and keep it exclusively for themselves in which case I will be happy to sort something out with them.

I would also be happy to make watermarks to order for the same price.  Just let me know what you want on your watermark and what totem you prefer.

I can show samples on request.

My pc is under maintenance at the mo so I can't upload anything just now but please, feel free to e-mail me or visit my Facebook  page.

.......don't forget, if I don't have the digi you're looking for, I'm happy to draw bespoke digis for you. If you supply a photograph, I'll even try to make them resemble someone!

Most of my 'realistic' digis have been drawn from one of my own photographs. I don't use a software program to do it - I use a pen and pencil and then scan in to clean up and upload.

Most of my children and faeries are drawn from my children and grandchildren - one or two are pushing 40 years old! lol!

I do Pet Portraits too, so don't forget the four-legged members of the family!

This is a drawing of my own dog - my Merlin.

I drew it from this photo

 See ya soon!

Happy New Year 2014!

New Year - New beginnings!

I've had a few health issues over the last couple of years and last year was something of a turning point for me, culminating in a major op which, quite literally, gave me my life back!

This year, I am hooping this will continue and give me and my family another excellent year as was 2013!

I hope to have more time and inclination for my drawing too!

Going to start the New Year with a FREEBIE!

Please feel free to 'snag' this collage and use it with my best wishes!

Would very much appreciate a comment or if you would give a small credit to Eiglas for the image when you use it.

I find it really baffling that I get a high footfall of visitors but no-one ever comments! LOL!

Feel free also to visit my other blog at Eiglas for tuts and projects of all kinds.

Hope you all have a lovely, crafty 2014!

Stamp Out Theft

I know this site thrives on neglect - I tend to only come over here to add the odd digi - but I've been interested in a newish site on Facebook.

Anyone who visits this page on a regular basis (and I know peeps do because of the 'Feedjit' app on the sidebar) will have seen the red and black 'Stamp Out Theft' badge - well it now leads to an updated Facebook page - go visit - very informative! LOL!

Got more new digis to upload when I get a few minutes!

Monday, 17 December 2012

Not been over here very much recently - been way too busy drawing to actually upload very much! LOL!

Mainly being asked for Pet Portraits and I'd like to put them on here but have the usual problem of watermarking them effectively and I don't have time just now for colouring - which is why I've not updated for a while.

One I'm happy to post though is a bespoke one though it may be a bit late for most of you to use.....
Please feel free to 'snag' this one for a while - if you would be very kind and credit Eiglas with the image, should you use it (just 'image by Eiglas' is fine!) it would be very much appreciated!

Offer ended - image removed

Wishing you all a wonderful Christ mas 2012 and New Year 2013!

Southern Gals Challenge - Baby Baby...!

This week the Southern Gals have turned their attention to all things maternal - and that means babies!

As you probably know. I have one or two digi-stamps of babies.....and also baby-themed digital paper kits, but this time I've used one of my Eiglas digi-stamps, called 'A Little Secret...' portraying a pregnant young woman, which was actually a bespoke drawing I did for a friend who was making a card for one of her pregnant friends.

Looking at it now, I wished I'd put a bow on it too and I shall, on the 'real' one!  I may take another photo later.  Anyway, I'm sure the cards over at Southern Gals are much better than mine anyway. Why not go have a look?

Southern Gals - Things With Wings!

It's that time of the month again!  The lasses at Southern Gals have a theme of 'Things with Wings' this week and in honour of this occasion I have launched a new collection of digis the Eiglas Faeries.

Being of a 'certain age' I have fond memories of the illustrations in 1950's 'faery-tale' books and as I have two willing and able models to myself most days, I thought it would be nice to make some 'faery' drawings with a 1950's feel.

This card is the debut of my 'Bobbikin'. He's only a baby faery and is just sitting on his toadstool trying to think up mischief.  I hope you like him although I've already had some 'eeukk's directed at his antennae so he's available 'naked' too (although the 1950's faeries did have them!)!

Please do pop over to Southern Gals - they're an incredibly talented  team and will inspire you to even greater pieces of art!

The model for my 'Bobbikin' was, again, my Ada although he wanted to be a boy!  He's coloured with my Copics but this particular image I printed onto glossy paper too. The bp is Kay & Co from their 'Mega-pad' grunge selection.

Hope you like him and you trip 'down under'!

Southern Girl's Chgallenge

I Love the Southern Girls' Challenge - they're always upbeat and fun! So, to follow the girly theme they have this week, I'm using one of my own digis - Lola - who is definitely a girl and who loves shopping, her puppy  and, being a typical young female, sulking!

Lola's due for more adventures soon!

Pop over to Southern Girls and have a look at the creations their talented team have come up with this week - super!

....eeeeuw! I've just looked at those photos - they're awful! I'll do 'em again tomorrow!

Eiglassing Sponsoring C.R.A.F.T Challenge

Here we are again with a wonderful new challenge at C.R.A.F.T  to sponsor!
I love the team at C,R.A.F.T they're such a lovely, friendly lot and so talented too, which is why I'm delighted for Eiglas to sponsor them every couple of months this year.

This month the theme is an 'inspirational picture' and I can't wait to see what you all come up with!  The winner of this particular challenge can choose £10.00 worth of digis or paperkits from my shop over at

I'd be very happy if whilst you're over there, you could leave a constructive suggestion or comment on how I can improve my site/digis/paperkits or what else you would like to see.

The team over at C.R.A.F.T would love you to pop in and have a look at the wonderful projects they've come up with using my stuff and if you could also pop onto their personal blogs and leave a comment, that would be even more fabulous!

Here is my demo card for this challenge.

Jo's beautiful Highland photograph inspired the colours and the tartan and I thought my 'Monarch' fitted it well too.

The blue, aubergine and tartan papers are from my Eiglas 'Galcelt' paperkit, which, hopefully, will be on my Eiglassing site soon and the digi is my Eiglas 'Monarch' which is on there already.

I've coloured the image with my beloved Copic markers.

Look forward to seeing you all soon!

Southern Girl's Sponsorship

Because I don't run any challenges from this site, I didn't think to put a write-up for Southern Girls Sponsorship on here, so here it is!

Eiglas sponsoring Southern Girls Challenge #41

It's all go this year, here at Eiglas!
Between Carol Smith and Yellow Moon and my new sponsorships with Jo and the team at C.R.A.F.T and this week's sponsorship with Southern Girls Challenge blog, I'm very nearly back with the programme and crafting again! LOL!

I'm so chuffed that these lovely craft challenge teams like my stuff and want to use it I jumped at the chance to share my paperkits and digis with them.

I also want to share them with you and so am offering a £10.00 gift token to spend at my digi store ;

...so do pop over there and have a look-see what you fancy!  I'd really appreciate any thoughts and comments too - good and bad!

These are two seriously talented teams and I cannot wait to see what they do with my kits and digis.

Like I said, this week, it's my privilege to be working withSouthern Girls and their theme is 'Must Add Sentiment' so please do pop over to their blog and see what lovely creations they have made using some of my paper kits.

They're a lovely bunch of ladies and have recently had a re-shuffle of their team and are welcoming a few new members, so please try to get onto their individual blogs and comment on their work, the same as they do for yours.

Here is my demo card for the challenge.

The paper is from my Eiglas 'Roseheart' paper kit, one of my favourite collections with very varied designs and a super colour pallette, and the quote is my own too.
I hope you like it!

Look forward to seeing all your entries!

Latest Digi...Bobby!

A friend requested an image for her friend's little boy, who is one year old at the end of the month, so here is 'Bobby'!  He's a real boy - couldn't mistake him for a girl - but he is so cute! I was furnished with a photograph and he has the biggest grin and the most amazing eyes - I hope I've done them justice!

I'll pop him under the Children & Babies tab too!

New kits!

I've some new paper kits on this week - a pretty soft coloured one called 'Anjelica' and a seasonal collection called 'Softly Falling'.  The working title was 'Audaube but my friend Christa suggested 'Softly Falling' instead and I thought that was so pretty and much more appropriate for the swirling leaves and snow in the papers.

I've made quite a few new kits but I just haven't had the time to kit them up and get them on but I will try in the next few days to get some more on.

Hope you will like them! As always, if you like anything on here, e-mail me at eiglas@eiglas.co.uk and I will send you the download code.

Purchasing my digis...

...is now easy!
I now have them at '4-shared' download site so all you need to do is e-mail me with your choice of digistamp or digital paperkit and on receipt of your PayPal advice note, I will send you the code to download your choice! Simples!

I've a lot of new kits and digis to upload, when I get a minute and would love to hear from you as to what digis you would like to see.

I can also now offer you personalized digital paperkits.

All I need is a colourful photo that means something to you and I will make a paperkit from it for you, after which I will delete it and the kit from my hard-drive, so you will be the only person on earth with a copy of that particular kit!

If you are interested in this service, please e-mail me for details!

An exciting new collaboration!

Over the past few days I've been in discussion with a talented designer from Crafts-U-Print called Carol Smith.

Carol contacted me with come very complimentary comments on my digis and asked if I would allow the use of some of them on her super card-toppers, which she sells on Crafts-U-Print.

I confess to being a little sceptical at first as, really, I could do as much myself, had I the mind to, and wouldn't need to share any (very small it must be said!)  profit but as I looked at her pages on CUP I became convinced that I should go for it.   I did discuss it with a few of my friends, hobbyists and professional, and ended up more confusticated than before!

So, in the end I took the bull by the horns and trusted my instinct that Carol is the lovely lady she appears to me to be.   I think it will possibly share my images to a wider audience and that thought makes me happy!

Here is her first creation with my image of my Very Cheeky Snowman!

Isn't that fab?

Carol has, very kindly, sent me the sheet so I was able to make up one of the possible designs with it.

The sheets Carol makes are already coloured in and come with the background scene you see here (plus others) and they come with the separate sections so you can easily decoupage them.

Here's a low-res image so you can see the layout (but thieves can't use it as it will pixillate as soon as you enlarge it). Carol's are much higher res and are a clean print.

Carol's toppers are great fun and a real boon to those with little time to spare or not confident in their colouring and they're very inexpensive!

Don't forget, if you like Cheeky, only I have the digi-stamps and he's over here at  Eiglassing! in the Christmas collection.  Just e-mail me and a download code will be sent!

New digi..... Calvin & Neo

...is now under the 'Peeps!' tab - as teenagers they aren't really children and I have no more pages I can make!
I'll also put them under the 'Male' tab so they can be found there too.

They look like they're having a laugh, don't they?

Paper Kits

I have most of my digital paperkit samples on now, under the 'Paper Kits' tab but still not put out  buy now buttons - I really must find some time to do that!
In the meantime, please just e-mail me at eiglas@eiglas.co.uk and we can take it from there!

My digistamps are nearly all up ...but then they never will be ALL up because as I'm uploading them, I'm drawing more and as I'm drawing them, I'm getting ideas for the next one! Ad infinitum! LOL!

My 'Roseheart' papers, have proved very popular 'per se' but I still believe them to be too expensive because I'm having them printed at a local printer so cannot hope to compete with commercial manufacturers, who have runs of many thousands, making it sooo much cheaper.

I can have any of my designs made up, but they're all going to be in the region of £1.00 per sheet, so, sadly, I'm not going to market them unless especially asked for them.

I need extra page tabs really but this blog layout doesn't allow more.
Perhaps I'll start a 'Latest Release' page right here!

Keep looking!
